We moved over to France permamently in mid September and have been getting to grips with the garden since then.
An old walnut tree took up a lot of space and the dark line of Thujas behind (originally a hedge) had grown to shade about a third of the space available.
So the first job was to get someone in to cut these all down. Timothee was a local “Castor Grimpeur” recommended to us and he did a fantastic job.
So we now have a large supply of logs (when seasoned for couple of years) and a huge pile of bark chips (of which more later).
It looked a bit severe but now the light could get to the garden area and the little house finally is getting some morning sun. So now it was over to us!
